Bright blue eyes opened up suddenly as the dream of the small boy's suddenly took a turn, shocking him awake. He blinked his wide eyes a few times, looking around the dimmed room. It was still pretty dark, but not pitch-dark. The sun was in the sky already—maybe about seven in the morning. But it was winter, so the sun wasn't that bright. There was also the fact thick shades and curtains were in front of the large windows, also masking out the sunlight. It was dark enough to freak the werewolf out a bit—but, of course, no one listened to him when Sam complained about how dark and scary it was. He always lost that battle with his dorm mates. On the plus side: he shared a dorm with Ezra. It wasn't the same as living in an apartment with him, but it was better than nothing. So it would suffice for now.
The new room confused Sam for a moment. He still wasn't quite used to the difference. And he really, really missed Winterthorne on top of that. Because, other than Ezra's apartment for that short time he'd lived there, it was the only place that felt like home. Since his parents died, that is. Kyle and Cathy's house never had. His sister-in-law, even before she'd moved in, had been there too often to let it feel like home. But after a moment Sam remembered where he was. Crestview Institute for Girls. Why an all girls school had chose to take them in was beyond him. It couldn't just be a co-ed school? He wasn't really liking all the stuck-up girls here. Although a few were nice—that girl Elliot seemed okay.
His mouth opened in a quiet yawn and he looked back towards Ezra. Since he was stuck with darkness, he'd taken up sleeping in Ezra's bed. Not that it was that weird anyway. It was a little bit cramped though. Because it wasn't as if they'd given them huge beds. But Sam could manage to squeeze in comfortably next to the demon seeing as Sam was an anorexic emo and Ezra was a skinny scene kid. The werewolf smiled and thought for a moment. Before rolling over on top of the other boy and kissing him lightly on the lips.
"Good morning lovely!" he greeted when he moved his lips from the other's. A smile still lit his face as he looked downwards at Ezra. As he watched to see what the other would do, he lightly brushed away a peice of raven hair that was in front of the demon's face.

He’d woken up before the sun had—around four-thirty in the morning. He’d never been an early-riser; in fact, most days he slept as long as he could (which usually meant between ten and noon). A lot of the time people would have to forcefully drag him out of bed. There were countless times when Jackson had to rip the sheets off of him, pick Ezra up, and throw him out of the bed before he actually woke up (which worked the first few times until Ezra learned to chain himself to the bed, which resulted in many pulled muscles). Sometimes Daileh came in, the evil, catlike smile spreading across her face, and used a handheld foghorn to attempt to get him out of bed and ready for whatever she had planned. Recently, though, he would awake to the smell of pancakes, bright blue eyes gazing down at him, and the biggest, most ridiculous, most beautiful smile he would ever see in his life.
Unfortunately, that all changed when they moved to Crestview.
He hadn’t minded the girls’ showering area. He was ay-oh-kay with the hundreds of gorgeous girls in miniskirts that were a little too high on their thighs. He didn’t even mind the uniform change, or the bigger, more expensive grounds. What bothered him was having to share a room with seven other people. Thankfully, Jackson and Sam were in his dorm. He even shared a bed with Sam because the younger boy was afraid of the dark. The down-sides consisted of Mort, Adrien, and Stefan. Oh, plus the fact that the only other guys who had ever been in love with him, Jackson and Devon, were also in his dorm. The new cute kid—Ace was his name—didn’t help all that much either. Sammii wasn’t too pleased with the dorm lists when they had found out. Ezra spent most of the day reminding him that, at least, they were in the same dorm. Could be worse, right?
When Ezra woke up, his dark blue eyes surfacing, he glanced around the room. It wasn’t pitch black; he could still see the general gist of things. He could make out Sam’s serene face, his chest heaving up and down as he slept. He smiled faintly, head crushing back onto his pillow. He couldn’t move much, as Sam had taken to using his arm as a teddy bear, clutching it to his chest as he slept. The demon, lying on his stomach, couldn’t bear to take it away from him—he was so damn cute. Plus, if Sam woke up too early, he’d be in a bad mood (and Ezra wouldn’t be able to get away with anything). He’d be up soon enough, right? And if he’d stayed for so long in this position, he could surely do it for another hour or so.
4:30 – 4:58 was spent wondering what he would do that day. He decided on: nothing.
4:58 – 5:29 was spent trying to think of Christmas presents to get everyone. He was stuck on Jay until he remembered that she liked Candy Mountain.
5:29 – 6:17 was spent trying to get the Candy Mountain Cave song out of his head.
6:17 – 6:23 was spent complaining internally that his arm ached and he kind of wanted it back now.
6:23 – 7:06 was spent trying to pull his arm out from Sam. Twice he was almost successful, but both times Sam nearly woke up. Again, he laid on his stomach and waited.
Finally, at 7:06, he saw Sam’s eyes flutter. Yes! YES! WAKE UP, GODDAMNIT AL—ohfuck, he’s so cute. And huzzah! His arm was let loose. He shook it out for a moment as Sam rolled on top of him, and smiling, kissed him back. “Morning,” he greeted in return, smiling again as he watched the other’s fingertips trail across his face. “You, somehow,” he added, nodding to the empty beds around them, “managed to be the last to get up. They all left already. Early risers, huh?” Or were they just late? Nah. It was only seven in the morning. Everyone else was early.

"Hmm?" Sammii looked around again, noticing for the first time that their dorm actually was empty. Wow. He looked at the clock to check the time. About 7:10 AM. Everyone was seriously awake already? Sam wouldn't think most of the people in their dorm were early-risers. Back at Winterthorne he'd always been about the first one awake. And he'd be moving around getting ready at six in the morning and they'd all start yelling at him because he was being too 'loud' (when he really was trying to be quiet—it just never worked out very well when you were clumsy). His blue eyes turned back to Ezra, meeting with the demon's murky blues. "Oh. I guess you're right." He smiled a bit wider and laughed quietly.
Sammii sat up on the boy, biting his lip lightly as he thought, like he normally did. "So...did you wanna do anything in particular today?" he asked the other after a moment. He tilted his head to the side slightly, blue eyes studying Ezra. The other boy was so...perfect. It amazed him every time. Smiling all over again, he leaned over a bit and kissed the demon quickly once more. When he sat back up, he spoke again. "I kinda wanted to go that...um...what was it called? Fifty-first street, I think? Yeah, that! But it sounded kinda cool. And I need to buy a few more presents for people. You were saying you needed to, too, I think, right?" He took a pause for a breath (he could talk a lot if he actually put his mind to it). "But...we don't have to if you would rather not. I mean, whatever you'd like to do is fine with me too, love," he added on.
Suddenly, his stomach gave a little rumble. Which in turn made him blush slightly as he gave another little laugh. "I think we should find something to eat first though..." He bit his lip again in thought. "Maybe we can get something while we're there! —If we're going. Or whatever." The werewolf shut his mouth after another second, realizing finally that he was kind of rambling on and on. And he knew Ezra wasn't really a morning person. Maybe he should just shut up now. "Sorry...didn't mean to talk so much," he said apologetically, giving the demon a slightly embarassed smile.
He rolled off of the other boy, laying next to him again, and rested his head on Ezra's chest, smiling up at him before closing his eyes a bit. "We should definitely just spend the day together... Just you and me, yeah? We don't do that very much..." Sam said quietly after a couple of minutes.

He watched as Sam looked around the room and shrugged himself. He didn't really pin teenage guys from Winterthorne to be the ones up before seven in the morning. These were the kids who complained every day that they had to go to such stupid classes in such a stupid school (hah, Crestview was really sticking it to them). They didn't seem particularly eager to get up and ready for the upcoming day. Or maybe it was that they hadn't come home yet? That was the more likely story: partying throughout the night because they didn't have classes the next day. He could see that happening to most of the kids in their dorm (and by "most of the kids in their dorm", he meant Jackson). Whatever the reason, he was really glad that the kids in his dorm were out of his hair this morning. He couldn't stand another day waking up to Devon and Sam glaring at each other, Jackson moping around, and the rest of his dorm-mates being assholes. Today it was just him and Sam. "Yep! Ezra - one, Sam - zero." He doubted that score would stay in his favor for too long.
What did he want to do today? He yawned, shrugging and stretching his arms out a bit. Stay in bed. Watch movies. Buy a motorcycle and show you off to everyone I find. He doubted that Sam would agree to any of his ideas; the smaller boy seemed bent on actually doing something. Eh. He could be lazy tomorrow, right? Procrastination was key! "I don't know. Something, I'm guessing?" As if he was going to decide what they did. Anyone who knew Ezra knew that Sam basically held total control over him. In the end, he was held victim by the werewolf's wishes. A small smile tugged at his lips as he watched the blue eyes wash over him. I wish I knew what he was thinking. Something good, obviously, as he felt the other's lips touch his own. The demon couldn't help but smile wider; he was about to suggest something when Sam began what can only be known as The Ramble.
The Ramble lasted only for a good two minutes or so, but mentally it took about five to seven minutes to digest. First Sammii started talking about how he wanted to head down to 51st street and check out the shops. "Well, I gue--" Then he started rambling on about Christmas presents, which (apparently) he hadn't finished shopping for. Getting words in edgewise was tough at this point. Finally the werewolf paused for breath. "Actually, I got mo--" He was cut off again as the smaller boy started going on about how they didn't have to go shopping, but Ezra knew that shopping was definitely what they were going to do; there was no way he was going to be able to resist the pouting and sighing from the other boy. He had been trying to explain that no, he did not need to go shopping; he had already gotten everyone's presents. "Sam," he said, exasperated, "It's okay. Rea--"
Okay, jesus christ.
This time it wasn't Sam's voice that stopped him--well, it was--but first the growling of his stomach. His expression went from slightly annoyed to amused; Sam was so adorable. He watched the light red spread over the other boy's cheeks, eyes softening. There was something so...he couldn't describe it. Innocent? Beautiful? Whatever it was, it made his own stomach tumble and churn. Right, so. To-do list for the day: make breakfast, take Sam shopping, find out why the hell everyone was out of the dorm already, and find some way to surprise Sam with his Christmas gift. The demon held back a sigh; he'd spent so much time planning out the gift, he hadn't gotten around to actually seeing his boyfriend much. But Christmas would make up for it, right?
Ezra grinned at Sam's apology. "Yeah, you really know how to stick it to me, huh?" He gave another small yawn, stretching his neck to the side, followed by his arm (as it was still a little sore from being used as Sam's stuffed animal all night). "We can go get breakfast. I don't really feel up to stealin--" he paused, remembering who he was talking to. "--borrowing food from the kitchens this morning." At any rate, he was sure that Sam wouldn't eat anything he'd stolen, and he seemed pretty anxious to get going. Why not give him what he wanted?
Spend the day together. Now that was a plan. "Sure," the demon started, watching as the other boy moved off of his waist and reclaimed the spot next to him. Smiling wearily, he entangled his fingers in the soft, dark hair and nodded. "Together sounds...really nice," he admitted softly, trailing his fingers down from the smooth hair and across the boy's pale cheeks. "I think we gotta get up first, though. And you have to get changed, unless you want me commenting on your attire all day--which, hey, I am all for doing." He pushed himself out of bed, as much as he wanted to stay curled under the covers, and began pulling his clothing on.
