Sebastian started to get the feeling that for once, he knew what it was like when he was in your head, because there was something etched into his mind. Joe’s expression when Sebastian was pressing him against the wall was something altogether knew, and it was torturing him. For once, Joe actually looked frightened, upset, and vulnerable. It was creepy in the worst way. But that expression in Joe’s eyes was the killer, because now that Sebastian had seen it, he just couldn’t get it out.
He knew that Joe had been affected by Sebastian’s leaving. Even Joe wasn’t cold-hearted enough to not notice. Or was he? Either way, good riddance. It wasn’t like Sebastian had ditched the guy, he was right outside, but it felt serious enough to might as well have been ditching.
Smiling slightly, Sebastian leaned back and closed his eyes. This friendship with Joe was something odd, really odd, yet here Sebastian was, and dealing with it. He had, not once, considered the fact that this friendship might not work out, because Sebastian knew that he could handle Joe. Mood swings, insults, and all.
But this whole situation, complete with a nice friendly razor? Not an everyday occurrence.
Sebastian slowly rose to his feet and stretched out, but made no mood for the door. He looked up at the sky and then all around. Delaying the inevitable moment when he would go inside the door again, to the putrid smell and the angered Joe. Who would want to go into that?
After a few moments, subconsciously, Sebastian felt his mind enter Joe’s.
First thing he saw – a knife.
Second thing he saw – visions of using said knife.
Third thing he saw – the serious nature of the matter.
“Hey Joe...” Sebastian started to make Joe’s grip on the knife loosen, no easy task, I tell you, “Bitch, put down the knife. All it would do is make me have one less friend and Mort have more cocaine to sell. Your loss won’t do any good. So put it down.”
Soon enough, the knife clattered to the ground, and Sebastian exited Joe’s head and entered his room. “See, now was that so hard? You’re always so goddamn stubborn, Joe.” Walking over to the guy, Sebastian tried to catch his gaze. Normally, he would be smiling as he did it, but right now, Sebastian seemed almost grim. “So fucking stubborn…”
All of a sudden, Sebastian seemed to shake himself, and he turned away from Joe. This was turning out to be a day of revelations that were just plain weird, and with that, Sebastian returned to his usual self, smiling a cocky half-smile.
